The department of chemistry at the University College of Engineering, Ramanathapuram was formed in 2008. The faculty is well qualified and motivated with a strong commitment to teaching in Engineering Chemistry in first year B.E students of various branches, and also Environmental Science and Engineering in higher semester. The department of chemistry is one if the four departments at the faculty of science and humanities Chemistry Laboratory is equipped UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Electronic Balance, Digital Conductivity meter, Digital Potentiometer, Digital pH meter etc.,
